RFP for propulsion system of CR929 program was released on December 21st, 2017.


China-Russia Commercial Aircraft International Corporation, Ltd. (CRAIC) held an RFP Release Meeting for Propulsion System of CR929 Program in Shanghai on December 21st, 2017. Mr. He Dongfeng, Chairman of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC), Mr. Yury Slyusar, President of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Mr. Shi Jianzhong, Vice President of COMAC and Vice Chairman of CRAIC, and Mr. Demidov Alexey, Vice President of UAC and Director of CRAIC, attended the meeting.

Releasing RFP for propulsion system of CR929 program is one of the major tasks of the program in 2017, and is also one of the critical tasks particularly implemented since the establishment of CRAIC. Propulsion system is the first to start RFP-related work of airborne system, which draws wide attention from domestic and foreign suppliers and partners.

The propulsion system mainly includes engine system and nacelles, and RFP document mainly includes five volumes, which are general instruction, engineering requirements, customer service requirements, commercial requirements, and general requirements for supplier management. The Sino-Russian joint working team has, through productive work, defined the preliminary requirements for propulsion system, clarified the basic requirements for suppliers in the whole life cycle of the program, and jointly compiled the RFP document.

Chief directors from both sides of the program introduced the main content and schedule of RFP for propulsion system. Mr. Guo Bozhi, President Assistant of COMAC and President of CRAIC, signed the letter for releasing RFP and issued the RFP document to the representatives of potential suppliers in the witness of the leaders attending the meeting. According to the schedule, the potential suppliers being invited will submit proposals before May 30th, 2018.
