(STAECO) on February 8th, 2017, which indicates the official end of the first C check of the first ARJ21-700 delivered to Chengdu Airlines. This is also the first C check for the China-made jet. Mr. Shen Xiaoming, Deputy Director of CAAC East China Regional Administration, attended the ceremony.
This C check of ARJ21-700 aircraft was the first enroute C check which followed the standards of CCAR-145 of Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), benchmarked against the world-class requirements for aircraft maintenance, product quality and maintainability, and was carried out in an MRO unit for the first time. This C check included not only routine C check maintenance items but also Service Bulletin (SB) retrofit work, which aims to continuously optimize and improve the aircraft and enhance the security, maintainability, economical efficiency and comfortability of the China-made new regional aircraft.
On behalf of CAAC, Mr. Shen Xiaoming expressed gratitude to all the units for their efforts made in the first C check of ARJ21 aircraft, and pointed out that the successful completion of the first C check had great significance for successfully completing the verification of periodic inspection maintenance module within the demonstrative operation period of this type of aircraft.
Since the beginning of C check for the first delivered ARJ21 aircraft (B-3321), STAECO has selected the most excellent personnel to involve in C check and has completed C check and SB implementation with high quality. As the first customer of ARJ21 aircraft, Chengdu Airlines selected and dispatched excellent pilots and maintenance personnel to participate in the whole process of C check, worked day and night, spared no efforts, and coordinated to solve related issues of operation support. As the main manufacturer, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) dispatched more than 40 core members to guarantee this C check in the whole course, fully checked and improved the operation support system of COMAC, and learned advanced technology and experience in management from STAECO with respect to maintenance.
After the completion ceremony, this ARJ21-700 aircraft flew back to Chengdu successfully.
